With respect for Aboriginal cultural protocol and out of recognition that its campuses occupy their traditional lands, jdb的电子夺宝官方 Sydney University acknowledges the Darug, 遇见Eora, Dharawal (also referred to as Tharawal) and Wiradjuri peoples and thanks them for their support of its work in their lands (Greater jdb的电子夺宝官方 Sydney and beyond).

At jdb的电子夺宝官方 Sydney University the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor 土著 Leadership is led by Professor 米歇尔Trudgett in her role as Deputy Vice-Chancellor 土著 Leadership.

Professor Trudgett has the overarching governance responsibility of all things 土著 at jdb的电子夺宝官方 Sydney University.


2020-2025 土著 Strategy

The strategy document currently outlines seven key objectives:

Position WSU as a place of choice for 土著 Australians to work in an environment that supports and nurtures their careers.

Provide opportunities for 本土学生 to learn and succeed in an environment that promotes 土著 excellence.

Develop the breadth and depth of 土著 研究 with a vision to promote research that empowers 土著 Australians.

Ensure all students develop understanding and knowledge about 土著 Australians through the Graduate Attribute.

Promote WSU as a place that works with and for the 土著 Australian community.

Promote leadership opportunities for 土著 Australians throughout the University.

Build 土著 Cultural Viability and Knowledge across the University.

Chancellor 土著 Leadership (ODVCIL) provides a vocational pathway
for 土著 participants to gain paid experience in university operations as
business administration trainees.

Here at jdb的电子夺宝官方 Sydney University we are committed to a population parity of 3% by 2025 with up to 20 new positions created across jdb的电子夺宝官方 for 土著 academics and at least 5 new traineeships for professional staff.
